The 2026 New Zealand Track and Field Championships will be held from the 5-8th of March 2026 at the Douglas Track and Field, The Trusts Arena, Henderson, Auckland.
Highlighting the weekend’s championship action will be Track Stars, a historic evening of track and field action, featuring New Zealand’s biggest stars – on and off the track – live and free on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+.
Track Stars will light up screens across the country, and fans in Auckland will be treated to the action live and in person at the Douglas Track & Field, The Trusts Arena. The event offers an unbeatable opportunity to witness New Zealand’s top athletes and celebrity competitors up close in a vibrant, festival-style atmosphere. It’s all happening as the sun goes down on the Trusts Arena on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
Track Stars is a full entertainment experience. Fans will enjoy athlete meet and greets, explore brand activations, and indulge in a variety of food and beverage options throughout the night. Athlete entries will be available from early 2026. The untimed programme will be available late 2025 or early 2026. Athletics New Zealand-accredited coaches will receive their complimentary tickets via email in February 2026.
