The Cooks International Classic marks the second stop on the 2026 Summer Circuit this weekend in Whanganui. New Zealand’s top athletes are ready to rumble at the ‘home of the mile’, Cooks Gardens.
A middle-distance showdown between Sam Ruthe and Sam Tanner is on the cards for the NZ Champs men’s Mile. Zoe Hobbs and Tiaan Whelpton have both 60m and 100m races on the cards. Lauren Bruce is set to throw in both the Hammer and Shot Put. Imogen Skelton and Maddie Wilson will be duking it out in the women’s high jump!
