Athletics NZ is pleased to announce that Liam Back and Peyton Leigh have been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2026 FISU World University Cross Country Championships, which are set to be held in Cassino, Italy, on 14-15 March 2026.
Men’s Race (3km):
Liam Back, Whanganui Club, Coach Ray Treacy
Women’s Race (10km):
Peyton Leigh, Auckland City Athletics, Coach Brad Hunt
We wish Liam and Peyton all the best for their preparations for the championships, and we look forward to seeing what they can do in Cassino.
