Five events, four venues, one unmissable summer of athletics
New Zealand’s premier series of track and field events returns this summer, with the 2027 Summer Circuit set to bring the country’s top athletes, alongside international competition, to fans across the country in five top-flight meetings.
From the short track showdowns at Mitre 10 Sports Park in Hastings to Track Stars under the lights at The Trusts Arena in Auckland, the Summer Circuit delivers the biggest names in New Zealand athletics to fans who want to get close to the action. International athletes, Olympic medallists, world champions, and the next generation of New Zealand’s finest, all in the same programme, across the Summer Circuit.
And if you can’t make it in person, you don’t have to miss a moment. Every Summer Circuit meeting will be broadcast live and free on TVNZ+, bringing the action to fans across New Zealand. The pinnacle of the circuit, Track Stars will again reach right into Kiwi homes, airing live and free on TVNZ 1 from 7 PM to 9:30 PM.
Tickets for spectators, plus athlete entries for the Summer Circuit, will be available later in 2026.
Event assignments and the full event grid will be confirmed and published closer to the summer season.
Dates for the wider national track and field season, including all National Permit (E-graded) events and national championship races, will be announced in the coming weeks.
